New design direction, SKYACTIV® refinement and diesel engine make the #MazdaCX5 all-new for 2017.https://t.co/TBTS74xjqb

There are far too many explanations for how Mazda's 2016 CX-5 CUV clinched an overall rating of 9.4/10 from Kelley Blue Book expert reviewers. Among them, excellent fuel economy -- an EPA-estimated up to 26 mpg city/35 mpg highway for Sport front-wheel drive models with manual transmission and up to 26 mpg city/33 mpg highway for automatic transmission models. So when Mazda promised a SKYACTIV-D 2.2 turbocharged, clean-running diesel engine available on its late-2017 CX-5, we at Budd Baer Mazda knew that the best was yet to come.
The experience is sure to be one of high-rpm, torque-driven thrill. But what truly wows is the diesel knock reduction that comes from proprietary Natural Sound Smoother and Natural Sound Frequency Control technologies. It'll be one smooth ride. And Mazda plans to meet strict emissions standards to boot, keeping CX-5 a model of fuel efficiency.
And how about the handling? G-Vectoring Control plans to deliver, synergizing engine, steering, throttle and suspension to allow subtle adjustments with rapid response. And when tough terrain presents, an upgraded SKYACTIV chassis will help diminish vibration and that uneasy feeling of float.
