Recently, it was announced that Digital Trends had chosen the 2017 CX-5 for their pick as Best SUV/CUV of the Year, with the Mazda vehicle outscoring both the Jaguar F-PACE and Bentley Bentayaga.
These awards are distributed to honor top new vehicles that were introduced each year, with scores determined by technological innovations, overall design and consumer experience. In the Best SUV/CUV category, editors noted that the 2017 Mazda CX-5 SUV delivered more exterior style, dynamic handling and capability than would normally be expected based its price.
The Mazda CX-5 has also been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance institute for Highway Safety -- the highest rating given by the non-profit organization.
