Should I Use All-Season Tires In The Winter?

Most of the new cars sold come with all-season tires already on them. These tires provide good traction in the normal driving conditions experienced throughout the year. Some people wonder if they should switch over to winter tires when that season rolls around. Budd Baer Mazda would like to provide you with some tire guidance.

All-season tires are made to perform well in summer and winter. However, they are not made to handle the extremes of either season. Winter tires have a deeper tread than all-season tires, so they can get better traction in the snow. Winter tires are more flexible, so they will grip the road better.

If you live in an area where the winters are not severe, all-season tires will probably work well for you. If you live where there is a lot of ice and snow in the winter, winter tires will provide you with superior traction.
